Flaming Gorge Days Announces Country Acts!

Flaming Gorge Days is excited to announce that Rodney Atkins will be featured as the headliner of June 27th’s country show. Rodney Atkin’s second album, If You’re Going through Hell, captures every aspect of Rodney’s life, not only as a great singer but as a man who is lucky enough to be living his dream. With Rodney’s down home attitude paired with his popular hits such as Watching you, these are my people, and Cleaning this Gun, he is sure to put on a crowd pleasing show.

Opening up the country night will be Chris Young. When Chris made his first appearance on the talent show “Nashville Star” the judges and fans knew they had found someone special. His self written single “Drinkin’ me Lonely” shows how deep his talent goes.

Country night for Flaming Gorge Days 2008 is scheduled for June 27th. Concert chairperson Deli Frantzen will be releasing more information as it becomes available.

Flaming Gorge Days will feature Bret Michaels of Poison, Rock of Love Tour, with Dokken as the opening act for June 28th 2008

As front man for the legendary rock band Poison, Bret Michaels has sold 25 million records and scored and amazing 15 chartbusting Top 40 singles including “Talk Dirty to Me,” “Something to believe in”, “ Nothing but a Good Time” and the timeless #1 smash “Every Rose has it’s Thorn”. Currently Bret is featured in the VH1 hit reality series Rock of Love. With his high energy, crowd friendly performances this will be a show you don’t want to miss.

Dokken’s tunes come from an era when pop-metal acts ruled. Dokken was a major attraction throughout the 1980s. With vocalist Don Dokken's captivating stage presence and guitarist George Lynch's high-energy style, the band combined rockers such as "Kiss of Death" and power ballads such as "Alone Again" in order to create a number of bestselling albums. The band now has John Norum, and ex-Warlock guitarist John Levin and ex-Ted Nugent and Yngwie Malmsteen bassist Barry Sparks, resulting in the release of Hell to Pay album.
